Mark Brown has been paired with amateur golfer and rugby legend, Sean Fitzpatrick in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship. The pair will tee off the tenth at the Old Course, St Andrews at 10:50am on Thursday (10:50pm NZT). The format is pro-am with a cut to the top 60 professionals after the first three rounds. They are joined by the top 20 teams regardless of whether or not the professional has made the cut individually. Fitzpatrick will be well known to New Zealanders as one of the key members of the 1987 Rugby World Cup winning All Blacks. Fitzpatrick is now resident in the UK and has a number of business interests including a motivational speaking businessĀ and appears regularly on UK rugby coverage. By all accounts he is a handy golfer and will be a formidable member of Team Brown.
